Sliding D combi rig
What you will need.
Hook of your choice
Small diameter Silicone tubing
Bait screw or hook swivel
Cut 7 inches of your braid and 10 inches of fluorocarbon
Fold your braid in half to create a loop and fold last inch of fluorocarbon and preform a Albright knot.
Pass the two braid ends through loop and make your loop roughly 2 inches long (this will be for your hook)
whip braid 5 turns up the fluorocarbon then 3 turns back down, pass the two braid ends back through the loop the same direction as you started. Now tighten down the knot with a bit of saliva.
Trim both tag ends on the braid & fluorocarbon, the Hook loop is now completed and should look like this.
Next pop braided loop end through the front side of eye, coming through to the back.
Now slide on your bait screw/hook swivel via the ring onto the loop of your braid.
Pop your loop end over your hook, going from back to front over the point, you should now have a D shape on the back of your hook.
Now slide on 15mm of silicone tubing down the fluorocarbon going over your Albright knot then onto your hook.
Position 10mm onto hook shank & 5mm off the eye, this will keep your D secure and make the hook turn quicker.
Add some tungsten putty over the Albright knot, this can help the hook mechanics work by making the hook turn down.
Slide on a Anti tangle sleeve narrow end first.
Now tie the fluorocarbon onto your swivel or tie a figure of eight loop knot to go onto a quick change swivel.
Slide on the anti tangle sleeve onto the swivel, this will help kick the rig out also helping stop tangles.
The rig is now complete.
This rig is ideal for bottom baits, wafters or pop ups. It also has great anti tangle properties due to the use of a boom section & helping the rig fall away from the lead.
You can also quickly change your hook by reversing the hook section steps above.
