Once renowned for packing major carp, the spot today is part of the 69-acre property that spans the Heath. That’s opened the lake up to boating and for those who love bird-watching, with plenty of waterfowl to see on the water.
Fishing is permitted on the Heath Pond, but passes must be arranged with a water bailiff.
The history of the Heath Pond has it once named Petersfield Heath and teeming with large fish. A stretch of blue-green algae took down most of the fish, but things have been revitalized over the years – even if this doesn’t have the markings of a traditional fishery.
