Snipe Lake is the oldest lake at Beaver Fishery, and it has been voted as one of the best open access commercial lakes in the United Kingdom. This wonderful lake is 2 and a half acres in size and from 1st March 2017 will be a Carp only lake. It has 12 swims. This beautiful lake has a central island that is divided by a paddle wheel aerator which produces extra oxygen in the summer and keeps the lake fishable in the winter months. There are overhanging trees and also lily pads too. Snipe Lake has an average depth of 4 and a half foot with a mainly silt bottom in open water but there are some gravel patches and hard clay spots.
